David I. Bar-Kar

David I. Bar-Kar s-a născut la Iaşi, 11 octombrie 1933; la 6 ani şi-a urmat familia la Bucureşti unde a trăit până la vârsta de 15 ani. Şcoala primară şi 4 clase de liceu le-a făcut la Bucureşti. În 1949 s-au mutat în Israel, unde şi-a completat studiile: absolvent al Universităţii Ebraice din Ierusalim, Facultatea de Pedagogie. A continuat sa studieze ştiinţe politice, finanţe şi filosofie în Anglia şi în Statele Unite ale Americii. A lucrat în învăţământ, relaţii internaţionale şi finanţe, în funcţii de lector universitar, diplomat şi preşedinte de societăţi bancare. Având reşedinţe la Oslo, New York şi Londra, cel mai mult îi place să fie în Bucureşti – după o absenţă de 50 de ani. În ultimii 2 ani a publicat 6 volume de poezii, scrise în română şi în engleză. Sunt primele lui lucrări literare.

David I. Bar-Kar was born in Iassi, Romania, October 11, 1933. At the age of 6 he followed his family to Bucharest where he lived until he was 15 years old. Primary and 4 years of high school he did in Bucharest. In 1949 they moved to Israel where he has completed his Education. He is a graduate of the Hebrew Jerusalem University, the Faculty of Education. He continued to study political science, banking and philosophy in England and in the U.S.A. He worked in education, international relations and finance, as university lecturer, diplomat and president of banking corporations. With residences in Oslo, New York and London he enjoys most being in Bucharest, after an absence of 50 years. In the last 2 years he has published 6 volumes of poems, written in both Romanian and English, his first effort ever in the literary field.
